Kids Mass Ride!

If your kids want to ride their bicycles, this is their ride! If your kids are on two wheels and can ride in a straight line, they can do this. A Buffalo cyclist and mom of two has heard other people talk about wanting to ride, and she knows by experience that it’s doable. She is bringing Kidical Mass, a countrywide bicycle ride, back to Buffalo, and here we are. A riding series for kids to fun locations to create a positive association with bicycling. The first ride of the series is the last Saturday of this month, May 31st, meet at 9:30AM and ride out at 10:00AM. Meet at the corner of Nottingham Terrace and Lincoln Parkway. Please see the ride requirements and registration below, sign, and return the registration form before the ride starts.

Registration Requirements:

All participants must know how to ride a bicycle (no training wheels or e-bikes). By New York State law, all children under 14 must wear a helmet. Children must ride with a trusted adult for every ride. The registration form is attached below to download, sign, and email to cbbadvocacy@gmail.com or print out and bring the signed form to the ride. Guardians must sign the registration form before their child may ride. Thank you; we look forward to riding together!

Why We Love Bicycling

We love bicycling for so many reasons! Bicycling is a way to get out into the community without worrying about a parking spot. It’s also an icebreaker, a connection amongst all bicyclists. We are more connected on bicycles with our fellow humans, nature, and more! Bicycling is good for the economy, the environment, and steering away from fossil fuels. We are putting action into active transportation, which is great for our health, with a low impact on the joints. All this movement increases endorphins, and that feels great. Do you love bicycling? Do you want to get started? Come join us!
